Rag Day, as it is fondly called is cherished in our tertiary institutions of learning. It is a day set aside by the social planners and organizers of institutions, for students to dress in rags, roaming the streets for the purpose of making money for charity.
Rag day is an interesting and memorable event in the life of every Nigeria University Student.
On the 13th of February, the Alvan Ikoku Federal College of  Education, had her students on rag around the streets of Owerri and beyond.

In fulfillment of her promise to the college on Wednesday, November 30, 2012, while addresingstudents of Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri who protested the poor power and water supply they were receiving, the college Provost, Dr Blessing Ijeoma has mounted a 1000KVA sound-proof generator in the campus.
In addition to this, massive renovations are also taking place in the campus and the students cannot hide their joy on seeing the new shape everything is taking.
