Other Campuses

The National President of the National Association of Imo State Students (NAISS) Comr. Sabinus Nwachukwu has said that he has been under attack/pressure over the Monday January 26th 2015, incidence during which students on the campaign rally of Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha, revolted against him. The rebellion resulted to the throwing of pebbles at Commissioner Uche Nwosu and destruction of electronic and electricity installations within the IICC, along Bank and Government House roads Owerri and the vandalization of the campaign office of the Governor where a huge flex banner was torn to shreds.

What could have been the largest and perhaps successful mammoth rally of Imo state students' from state owned tertiary institutions in Owerri in support of the incumbent governor of Imo state and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the next month's general elections turned out to become a holocaust and violent volcano in contradiction to the recently concluded Abuja Accord of non violence as people suspected to be of an opposition group unleashed terrorism and mayhem against their chief host and sponsor.
