All Bongo musicians in Imo State under Owerri Stars Musicians Organization [OSMO] will on Saturday, December 17, 2016 launch a joint album tagged ‘OSMO Unity Album’.

The album which has the likes of Ababanna, Shama Melody, Owigiri, Akira Moses, Bismak, Holy Man amongst others is targeted at using music to bring Imolites together irrespective of their political or religious inclinations.

Tagged ‘Udo Chiaa’, the album will be launched under the distinguished chairmanship of Chief Emma Ugorji [Omema Ke Owerri] in an event that is packaged in partnership with the office of the Senior Special Assistant to Imo State Governor on Entertainment and Public Affairs held by Hon. Chukwunonye Iruno.

Speaking in a media briefing for the event, Hon. Iruno described the project as one that is coming at the right time because the only thing Imo State needs at the moment is unity to enable them appreciate what they have and make it grow to the next level.

“Irrespective of our political or religious inclinations; irrespective of where we are based and what we do, we all need to understand that Imo State is our own and if it falls, we have fallen.

“The project is calling for everyone to come home, join hands in making Imo State a greater state because no matter where we run to, nature will always remind us that we are Imolites”, he said.

He further hailed the bongo musicians for the project, adding that it shows they have the interest of the state at heart. He then pledged the support of Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha through his office to ensure that the entertainment industry in the state grows into what other states around will be envious of, adding that the only part artistes will play is to express their creative ingenuity to the fullest.

Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha will be the Special Guest of Honour, while HRM Eze Samuel A. Ohiri, eze ndi eze Imo State will be the Royal father of the day at the event billed to kick off by 4:00pm on Saturday, December 17, 2016   at Nze Dan Orji Bongo Center, behind, Imo International Convention Center Owerri, Imo State.
