The Office of the Deputy Governor of Imo State has read, in consternation, an obvious falsehood published on a blog, 247ureports by mischief makers against the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and his deputy, Prince Eze Madumere.

We would not have boardered responding to such infantile exercise but for the sake of unsuspecting publics who might be hoodwinked by such diatribe, hence, our resolve to state the obvious.

Imo State Government is partnering with Nigerian Army to establish three Command Schools in the three Senatorial zones of the State.

Prince Madumere who received a delegation from the Nigerian Army led by the Chief of Administration, Nigeria Army, Major General Idris Alkali commended the Nigerian Army for partnering with the State in development of sound minds for the youth of Imo State.

The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has again demonstrated his ingenuity in crisis management as he superintended a truce between security agencies operating in the State and Petroleum Truck Drivers over alleged adulterated petroleum product.

Madumere who received a delegation of Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, in the south–East and Petroleum Truck Drivers in Imo state led by Morrison Nwokedi and Donatus Onu respectively in his office yesterday, February 7, 2017, frowned at the avoidable altercation, which led to the alleged seizure of 12 petroleum trucks by officers of the 34 Artillery Brigade Command, Obinze, Imo State,  saying such act can spark off  security disorder  and  artificial petroleum scarcity in the State .

The Senator representing Imo North Senatorial District, Benjamin Uwajumogu has denied the rumour making the rounds that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was collecting money from people in its current registration exercise.

In an exclusive interview with DAILY POST in Abuja, the lawmaker described it as concocted lies coming from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in order to halt massive migration of people into the All Progressives Congress in the South East.

The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has expressed State Government readiness to partner Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) on civic education in Imo Schools  in especially in the area of Road use and Safety with a view to raising awareness on prevention of road carnage usually caused by Road accidents.

Prince Madumere made this call while receiving in audience, the new Sector Commander FRSC, Imo State, Mr. Ibrahim Abubakar who paid him a courtesy call to familiarise himself with the Deputy Governor in Government House, Owerri, Imo State.
