As Christian compatriots all over the world celebrate the Messiah’s triumph over death, the Senator representing Imo north in the 8th senate of the National Assembly, Distinguished Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu, has called on Okigwe zonal people, particularly Christian faithfuls to use the opportunity of Easter to pray for the unity and progressive development of the zone.

In his Easter message to Ndi Okigwe zone, Senator Uwajumogu emphasised the need for Christians to pray and work together for the unity and development of the senatorial district.

In a bid to showcase his other talent, award winning comedian cum singer, Mc Ichie has tapped into his musical skills, but this time instead of his usual comic musicals, he is going political by doing a song for Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpazu.

The song which is powered by the Specials Assistant to the Governor on Student Matter, Comrade Chino Ugorji calls on Abians to support the works of the governor in the state, citing his numerous achievements despite the struggles facing him.

Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has condoled Senator John Shagaya over the unfortunate passing of his wife, Dame (Mrs.) Pauline Shagaya who was aged 71.

Governor Okorocha who registered his  condolences to the Jos born General at his country home yesterday through his deputy, Prince Eze Madumere described late Dame Shagaya as a great woman who stood by her husband all through, ensuring the family was bonded together  in love and care even while General Shagaya took on challenging patriotic services to the father land.

Prince Madumere described the relationship between Okorocha and Shagaya as that of father and son.

Hon. Emeka Ihedioha is the immediate past Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. In 2015, he was the governorship standard bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State, but lost the election to Governor Rochas Okorocha.

Barely two months after Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere inaugurated a Committee to superintend his proposed Imo annual inter-campus football tournament, the committee yesterday  hosted a seminar for the Local Organising Committees of the ready-to-participate campuses at the Conference Hall, Office of the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Government House, Owerri.

In his address, Prince Eze Madumere Football Competition Committee Chairman, Hon. Emeka Ajih said the responsibility of the committee is derived from its terms of reference, which he said is to design a blueprint for a sustainable annual football tournament; to come up with reliable rules and regulations to guide against abuse.
