The leadership of Imo State Students under the aegis of Council of Students’ Union Government have pledged their unflinching support for Prince Eze Madumere, the Deputy Governor of Imo State, describing him as a leader whose leadership style and strength of character are unequaled.

The group led by their Chairman, Comrade Chigozie Stanley made the assertion earlier today when they paid the Deputy Governor a visit at his country home, Lake Malinda, Achi-Mbieri in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo State.

The students hailed Imo Deputy Governor for his contributions for the success of Rescue Mission administration and for his youth friendly disposition having groomed many young people in leadership position.

Also in an impressive manner, the Traditional Ruler of National Union of Imo State Students, Charles Obiefule who addressed the number two citizen of the State in Igbo dialect wished the Deputy Governor merry Christmas and assured him of the students support while pledging to continue to support Owelle Rochas Okorocha led Rescue Mission administration.

In his response, the Deputy Governor wished the students merry Christmas and thanked them for coming to celebrate with him though he would have wished they worshiped with him in the chapel.

He used the opportunity thank them for their support to Rescue Mission administration led by Governor Okorocha by their conduct and always identifying with government’s people oriented programmes and policies.

He urged the students to use the season of Christmas to reflect on the significance of birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, his life style while on earth, and emulate his spotless character. He also reminded them of their immediate duty of learning and acquiring needed knowledge and good conduct with which they will put to use in whatever position they may find themselves in the future.

He advised his guests against truancy, cultism and other social vices, which he described as necessary ingredients for failure and ruin. He therefore encouraged them use the period Christmas for soul searching and to make necessary amends where necessary.
