No fewer than 15,000 children displaced by the herdsmen crisis in Benue state who are down with various ailments including malaria, malnutrition and diarrhea are to benefit from a free medical outreach organized by the Nexia Nigeria, a global corporate support service organization.

Flagging off the outreach at the Abagena Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, camp in the outskirt of Makurdi, the Managing Partner of the organization, Mr. Abel Onyeke said the two day outreach with the theme ‘Closer to You’ was in commemoration of the annual Nexia day celebrations.

The Managing Partner who was represented by his Manager, Mrs. Gloria Akpata said that apart from the medical outreach, the organization would also provided food items and educational materials for the displaced children.

Explaining further Onyeke said, “this year we brought the annual event to Benue state in view of the IDP situation in the state and particularly the health and hygiene condition of children in the camps who need all the support they can get.
