Ahead of Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo’s visit to Okpoko today, residents and public office workers are making frantic efforts to give him a rousing welcome.

The governor who was sworn into office on Thursday had during his inaugural address to Ndi Anambra, in Awka, said he would visit Okpoko today at about 9 am.

But street sweepers who had, hitherto, abandoned their duty before now, took to the streets in Upper Iweka and Okpoko environs and started making efforts at making look tidy on Friday morning.

However, while several heaps of refuse are also waiting to welcome the governor, residents are also in a panic mood as they don’t know what fate would befall them during and after Soludo’s visit.

Meanwhile, the governor is still being expected.
