The Imo State Labour Party, under the leadership of State Chairman Bar Callistus Ihejiagwa, has refuted rumors circulating that the party has closed its doors to former Governor Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha and his supporters.

In an official statement jointly signed by Chairman Callistus Ihejiagwa and Secretary Engr Paulinus Udechukwu, the party declared Emeka Ihedioha as a valuable asset to any political party and affirmed that he and his followers are welcome to join the Labour Party.

The party cautioned against misinformation and emphasized that only the State Executive members have the authority to dictate the party’s course of action.

Imo Labour Party clarified that ongoing registrations and revalidations of new members are occurring at the ward level, urging interested individuals to participate in the process.

Additionally, the party urged the public to disregard the false narrative, attributing it to the efforts of opposition parties and their agents to sow discord.
