As one of the best brains in the show biz promotion, Chukwudi Ofoha, the Managing Director, Ibari Ogwa Village, does not believe there will be any day people will see him running out of ideas on how to put Owerri on the entertainment map of the world.
Mr Ofoha, who recently played host to the Imo State Based Artistes’ celebration of the popular radio presenter Raymond Ayuba of Hot 99.5 FM at Ibari Ogwa Village, was never surprised to see the kind of dignitaries the event pulled down to the venue. He said he was even surprised to see empty seats at the venue, stating that his outfit has gone to the level of hosting any event her capcity can take.
Speaking on their recent international adverts and what he intends to gain from it, he said “When you watch some cable channels, you see adverts of beautiful places around the world, places that are not better than ours. If they can do it, we can also do it. but the main thing is that people all over the world will know that we exist and somehow, will want to identify with us. We want to get into the world map of entertainment and that will happen soon.
The tireless worker who never runs out of idea on how to keep his outfit lively also said he has a plan of expansion which will be at a permanent site and made it clear that he has no plan of opening up another branch in Nigeria.
“If we can talk about another branch of Ibari Ogwa, that will have to be outside Nigeria, which will really help us attain the international status we have been working hard on”.
“The next big thing here will be the Independence Day Celebration. We are going to celebrate it like it has never been done. With artistes like Veecko Kyngs, Edris Abdukareem, Osu Baba, Mr Ibu, Victor Osuagwu, Slow Dogg and others on my side, I believe Ibari Ogwa can pull the biggest string in town”
