Star actress, Mrs. Ngozi Ezeonu has joined the league of actresses with Chieftaincy titles, following the conferment of chieftaincy title, Ada Ife 1 of Ihiteowerri, on her by the traditional ruler of Ihiteowerri Ancient Community in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State, HRH Eze Igwe Celestine Freedoline Nwizu Ezerioha.

The event which took place last Sunday during the Golden Jubilee celebration and 2012 new yam festival of the monarch, attracted dignitaries from all walks of life.

Ngozi, who appreciated the presence of her family members especially her mother and husband, friends, associates and colleagues in the movie world, could not contain her joy.

The title was conferred on her in appreciation of her excellent interpretation of movie roles that project Igbo traditions to the world.

According to Eze Ezerioha, the actress was singled out for honour because of the smiles she has put on the face of many people all over the world.

Speaking to Nigeria Newspoint after the title was conferred on her, Mrs. Ezeonu expressed joy, saying it was only by the grace of God that she got that.

She expressed surprise that a community in Imo State could single her out for an honour and pledged to use her position to effect more positive change.

She was particularly grateful to her people from Anambra State for coming out en masse to support her for the honour.
