The Alvana Model Secondary School Owerri, Imo State, Thursday October18, 2012 celebrated her 18^th Anniversary.

According the Vice Principal Mrs. Gladys Okereke, the yearly event was organized to remember when the school was founded.

She went further to say that Alvana secondary school was founded to reclaim the lost glory in the education system of country.

“The vision was to establish a school for modeling good character, credible values, respect for persons, good manners, literates at home and in school, managing money at school and homes and full of teachable moments.

For eighteen consolidated years, Alvana have refused to allow her students make excuses on what they would have done well. Alvana is grooming future adults and leaders of distant tomorrow”

The event witnessed a stampede of personalities from Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education and beyond including Dr. (Mrs) Blessing Ijeoma, provost, AIFCE.

Also present were Alumni who returned to their Alma Mata to witness the historic event.

The guests were entertained by members of the staff and students with music and cultural dance keeping the atmosphere lively as the event rolled like a tape from the beginning to the end.

With intuitive mark of honour,

Has produced and termed potential

Leaders of honour and self esteem

To wheel out all entanglements,

Posed on the education of the mind

And project citizens of prudence

Just to reinstate the lost glory of the educated

 

 

Here, Alvana presents quality education,

To untie the daunt interest on skill and learning

With polity instructors to excavate the gems

To root up the buried love for excellence

To hurdle and step up and jump

Oh! Alvana; requires co-operate interest of the whole.

 

 

Will, well, Oh! Lovers of Alvana,

To glamorize the citadel,

Your mother city of excellence

In coins and kind will her

To settle her momentary shocks

Then, your inputs manifested,

Crowning the realm of her expected goals.
