Duruiheoma is working against party-Akaolisa
Akaolisa is a rebel-Amajirionwu

Indications of implosion in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Imo State chapter emerged weekend following trading of blames amongst the top functionaries of the party.
The state legal adviser, Barrister C. O. C. Akaolisa asserted in an interview that the party chairman, Chief Eze Duruiheoma is working against the party.
In fact, he said, the party boss is being used by rival APGA to destroy the PDP.
But the state publicity secretary, Chief Blyden Amajirionwu was quick to dismiss Barr. Akaolisa as a rebel whose loyalty never runs full circle.
Barr. Akaolisa accused Chief Duruiheoma of engaging in anti-party activities thereby breaching the party’s constitution.
According to him, the constitution of the party stipulates that the State Executive Council (SEC) of the party holds meetings quarterly, a provision, he said, Chief Duruiheoma has not adhered to.
He disclosed that the SEC meeting has only held once in two years, adding that such an offence attracts sanction or outright removal of the chairman through a vote of no confidence.
Akaolisa said he had advised the party chairman to call SEC meetings, pointing out that Chief Duruiheoma seems comfortable with running the party with the State Working Committee (SWC).
He stated that the SWC derives its powers from the SEC, adding that while SWC runs the day-to-day activities of the party, the SEC makes the policies.
The legal practitioner maintained that the state government and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) have infiltrated the PDP.
He alleged that some PDP officials now attend nocturnal meetings of the APGA.
He called for a holistic reorganization of the party to save it from sinking. He equally alleged that the ACN (Action Congress of Nigeria) is also trying to run down the PDP.
According to him, some PDP officials who are loyalists of the ACN leader in the state, Chief Achike Udenwa have been meeting in his house.
Akaolisa said that Chief Duruiheoma was prosecuting Ideato South agenda, maintaining that the party boss queried him (Akaolisa) on why he should allow the joining of Chief Ikedi Ohakim in the suit challenging the supplementary poll.
He insisted that the PDP would not be able to wrest power from the APGA unless something urgently is done to remedy the situation.
When contacted on telephone on Saturday, the state publicity secretary of the PDP, Cjeif Blyden Amajirionwu described Barr. Akaolisa as a rebel.
He added that the lawyer never finishes anything he began. He wondered why it is only the legal adviser that is complaining about Chief Duruiheoma’s handling of the party.
Chief Amajirionwu disclosed that the chairmen of the PDP in the local government areas had since passed a vote of no confidence on Akaolisa for some of his actions that were not palatable to the party.
