Anambra State born rapper Aifee has gone into the Makachukwu’s basket of goodies to release one of the tracks online.
Speaking to www.otowngist.com, Aifee said that he needed to release the track online, so that people who could not get the album can still download and listen to some of the tracks which were never released online.
“Hold Something is not a new song, but a track from my album that never went online before the album was released and I want to drop it online for my fans to download and enjoy especially this time that everyone needs a song that has shaking impact”
Aifee however denied that he was releasing the song because he wants to be on the news, stating clearly to those spreading the rumours that he has passed that level.
“I don’t think my album was released a long time ago, and I’ve been attending shows both in Owerri and beyond and these are getting good coverage both in print media and online. I am not new in the industry, which means I am news worthy.
Even if I am forcing myself into the news, it is still what we are known for, artistes are always on the news for the good or bad reason, but news is news, good or bad”
He could have agreed that releasing ‘Hold Something’ is a step towards another album if it were to be a new track, but the Igbo lyricist declared that the journey towards a new album will still start someday.
“I have an album which is still new in the market, and right now, my headache should be how to take ‘Makachukwu’ (the album) round the country and beyond.
I can start plans for the next album anytime I choose, but that will be a decision for the latter days”
‘Hold Something’ is a dance-hall track featuring another O’town singer Femilarge, and with Dj Chet on the beat, it is a track I recommend you download with you last data.
