Imo State government led by Owelle Rochas Okorchas, has announced that there will be a handsome reward for anyone with useful information that will lead to the finding of his kidnapped aide, Nkiru Sylvanus.
The statement was made in released signed by the Commissioner for Information, Chinedu Offor, which was broadcasted on the state owned Orient TV.
According to the release, Imo State government made it open that they are aware of the aide’s kidnap and the fact that the kidnappers have made contact with certain government officials. They urge the general public to pass any useful information that will lead to her recovering to security agencies, promising a handsome reward for anyone who does so.
This release comes after the kidnappers have demanded the sum of N100 million ransom for her release of the actress who was Kidnapped at about 8:00pm on Saturday, December 15, 2012, while on a movie location in around Akanchawa road, Owerri.
One would wonder if placing bounty on the heads of the kidnappers is the right thing to do or paying the N100 million ransom to release the abducted aide.
