As December runs close to its 10th day, the heat of the highly anticipated Imo Youth Summit keeps increasing as the organizers are running around to see that the aim of the event is achieved.

Mr Emma Duru who is the Public Relations Officer of the committee and Director General of Imo Talent Centre (Bongo Square) has reassured Imo youths that the programmes in the summit have been packaged to transform their lives.

“Imo Youth Summit is not a jamboree and it is clear to everyone. Bringing Wole Soyinka and Prof Jerry Gana is not an easy thing and these are two Nigerians who have seen it all locally and globally. We believe that sharing their experience with Imo youths will surely inspire them to be more productive, which has been the dream of our governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

A lot has gone wrong in the lives of the youths in the state and with this summit we can start solving it by seeing that the youths are mentally ready to take up challenges ahead of them.

We still have other things in place like the entertainment aspect where we are bringing the likes of Nkem Owoh, Tuface, Flavour and others who have achieved success in the industry as well as our own artistes who will not only perform, but share their life experiences with the upcoming ones who have always wished to be like these stars”

Duru then concluded by saying that the event will educate, entertain and transform the lives of the participants
