The new Acting Director-General of Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC), Mrs Esther Obong-Egbuna on Tuesday assumed office.
Handing over to her, the retiring Acting D-G, Mr. Alex Nwahiri congratulated his successor and wished her well in her new position.
Nwahiri also expressed his gratitude to the state government for the opportunity given to him to serve in the highest office in the corporation.

In his remarks, the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Chinedu Offor enjoined the staff of the organization to work harmoniously with the new leadership.
He stated that Mrs Obong-Egbuna’s appointment was based on merit, ingenuity and professionalism.
According to him, government reposes confidence in the new leadership to move the corporation to the next and higher level of success.
He described every staff of the corporation as a stakeholder, and urged them to bring ideas that could change the fortunes of the organization.
The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Chief Goddy Dike said that he has no doubt that Mrs Egbuna would deliver the goods.
Responding, the Acting D-G, Mrs Egbuna thanked the government officials for reposing confidence  in her and pledged the cooperation of the staff at all times.
She also promised to live up to expectation.
