Golden voice of Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC), Mrs Esther Obong-Egbuna is the new Acting Director-General of the corporation.
Mrs Obong-Egbuna popularly known as Sister Eee takes over on Tuesday, this week from the retiring Acting D-G, Mr. Alex Nwahiri.
IBC is the operator of Orient Radio 94.4FM and Orient TV Channel 59, Owerri owned by the Imo State government.
Sister Eee started as a youth corps member at the IBC. She was retained after her service.
She later married a broadcaster par excellence, Mr. Chike Egbuna popularly known as Mr. Soul.
Incidentally, Mr. Soul, a British-trained broadcaster who hailed from Awo-Omama in Oru East LGA of Imo State rose to be D-G of IBC before his demise.
Mrs Obong-Egbuna reads news on both channels of the corporation and also produces and presents a gospel programme on radio. She is also the anchor of live phone-in interview programmes on radio.
She has had rapid promotions at the corporation owing to her excellence. A highly-spiritual woman, she founded and runs a non-denominational Christian fellowship in Owerri.
