The following analysis, though brief is an x-ray of the character and personality of Okorocha’s kitchen cabinet members who can become the state deputy Governor, to replace Sir Jude Agbaso who may be impeached by the state legislature:-
Consequent upon the commencement of impeachment proceedings that may lead to the removal of Sir Jude Agbaso as the Deputy Governor of Imo state, a list containing seven names from Owerri zone has been proposed for the nomination of his successor.

According to a reliable source in government, the list has the names of the present commissioner for Works, Mr. Nick Okparandudu, a chieftain of Action Congress of Nigeria(ACN) in Imo state, Hon. Uche Onyeagocha, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prince Eze Madumere and chairman local Government Service Commission, Sir Jude Ejiogu.
Others are Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Soronnadi Njoku, the Political Adviser to the Governor, Chief P.C Onuoha and commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Ann Dozie.
NICK OPARANDUDU
Oparandudu is considered for his wealth of experience in the private sector. He also had a successful career in the banking industry before venturing into politics. Beyond that, Okparandudu has demonstrated unalloyed loyalty to the governor as well as exhibiting extra-ordinary commitment in the discharge of his duties since the inception the present administration. Another factor going for Okparandudu is that he hails from Emekuku, Owerri
North LGA with Sir Jude Agbaso. His nomination will be viewed as a strategic step to douse whatever sentiment the Agbaso family may weep up.
HON. UCHE ONYEAGOCHA
As a member of Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Uche Onyeagocha no doubt paid his due as a sound lawmaker. An eloquent crusader and a chieftain of ACN, his nomination will demonstrate Gov. Okorocha’s commitment in integrating the components of All Progressives Congress(APC) in Imo state. With his legislative experience and towering integrity, the Owerri West born human right lawyer and activist is seriously viewed as a good successor for Sir Jude Agbaso.
PRINCE EZE MADUMERE MFR
As Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prince Eze Madumere has proven to be trusted. He has in all ramifications rendered the best of services to Gov. Owelle Rochas Okorocha. Though not related biologically, Madumere has indeed proven to be a brother and dependable ally of the governor. For about 20 years, the Chief of Staff has remained trustworthy and loyal even without breaching the confidence reposed in him by his master. Beyond that, this trusted administrator and an operational person par excellence has so far committed his future around Gov. Okorocha by showing enough commitment in actualizing his political aspiration. A native of Achi-Mbieri, Madumere is presently the stabilizing factor in Gov. Okorocha-Ied government. His nomination will be viewed as compensation for the people of Mbaitoli which clearly occupies a major political space in Owerri zone and Imo state. It will be also viewed as compensation for the people of Mbaitoli for contributing largely in the emergence of Gov. Owelle Rochas Okorocha in 2011.
CHIEF JUDE EJIOGU
He is the Chairman of Local Government Service Commission. A well respected gentleman, Chief Ejiogu is highly regarded for his intellectual prowess and competence. As a financial expert, Chief Ejiogu has contributed in different ways to the smooth running of the present government. Beyond being considered as Agbaso’s kinsman having come from Emekuku, Owerri North, Chief Ejiogu posses the capacity and charisma needed for the position of the deputy governor.
BARR. SORONNADI NJOKU
As a seasoned lawyer and politician, Barr. Njoku’s intellectual capacity and deep knowledge has attracted him to many. Having served as commissioner for Agriculture and Public Utilities during Udenwa regime, the present Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice is viewed as one of the most vibrant members of the present Imo State Expanded Executive. Barr. Njoku’s nomination will definitely address the age-long marginalization of the people of Ngor-Okpala in the politics of Imo state.
CHIEF P.C ONUOHA
Though he lost the deputy governorship to Chief Martin Agbaso who insisted on the nomination his younger brother ahead of 2011 elections, Chief P. C Onuoha has remained loyal to Gov. Owelle Rochas Okorocha. A well known politician in the state, Chief Onuoha who is presently the Political Adviser to the Governor is a long standing and close associate of Gov. Okorocha. Though an introvert, Chief Onuoha is a courageous political strategist with the capacity to political pressure. His nomination as the number two citizen will be seen as a major step of integrating fully the Mbaise nation consisting into the camp of Gov. Owelle Rochas Okorocha. He hails from Ahiazu-Mbaise LGA.
MRS. ANN DOZIE
She is the only woman tipped to replace Sir Jude Agbaso. Also from Emekuku, Owerri North, Mrs. Dozie is from the reputable family of Dr. Paschal Dozie, the chairman of MTN Nigeria and former chairman of Diamond Bank. A woman of substance, Mrs. Dozie is currently serving as the commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development. The argument in her favour is that women have consistently made good deputy governors in the country. A devoted catholic, Mrs. Dozie is unassuming as well as posses good leadership qualities for the job. She is also believed to have lived up to expectation as a commissioner. Her nomination will represent a gender sensitive executive in Gov. Okorocha-led government.
