One would be wondering how true this story could be, but it is no longer news that Imo State owned TV station, Orient TV is now broadcasting on satellite via CTL and Go TV.

Although no official announcement has been made by the corporation on this, it has been confirmed by both viewers and staff of the corporation who tuned in to watch programmes of the station via these satellite channels.
This news is coming months after the station came under high criticism by viewers who alleged that the station was showing substandard programmes because the present management headed by Evangelist Esther Obong Egbuna (Sister EE) is doing everything to see that the face of the station changes for better.
So far programmes targeted at winning the hearts of the youthful audiences have been put up and the Director General (Sister EE) is working tirelessly to see that talented young minds are also brought into the station to win back the hearts of the people who have opted for satellite channels rather than terrestrial channels like Orient TV.
With orient TV on satellite channels, there would be nowhere to hide for people who prefer satellite channels because the station will be there waiting for them whenever their decoders goes on.
So far, Orient TV has been confirmed on CTL while that of Go TV is yet to be confirmed although there is still rumour that both outfits have reached an agreement.
When both are confirmed, it will be a great achievement for the DG, Sister EE and the administration of His Excellency Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha, the executive governor of Imo State.
