But luck ran out of him, penultimate Saturday after giving the daughter the sedative drug and the girl failed to take the drug, according to a native of the area.
Mr. David was said to have taken the girl into his room and pulled off his trouser to commence his act, thinking that the girl had been sedated, but sensing danger, the girl ran out screaming.
The shout attracted neighbours who wanted to kill the man after the girl narrated what she had been experiencing in the hands of his father.
The man who is believed to hail from Okigwe LGA in the state however managed to escape from the surprised and angry youths.
A source said Mr. David’s wife who sells meat had to take their five children to unknown destination when she returned from market and learnt about the incident.

Eze Amadi submitted that the community abhors evil and urged landlords to properly investigate people before accepting them to live in their houses.
