Mayor of the city of Houston, Annise Parker in a letter to the organizers of Imo Day USA has expressed her joy in hosting citizens of Imo State in the second edition of the annual event.

Mrs Parker said that the city of Houston is honoured to have been chosen for such cultural exhibition of high magnitude, not forgetting to mention the numerous contributions of Imo indigenes in making Houston a business hub.
“Houston is a city of great diversity, and its citizens are proud of their strong international ties. Public and private investments have built the world’s largest medical center, a leading international port and NASA’s Johnson Space Center. These investments have helped make Houston a capital of the energy industry and a major center for international commerce, with dozens of foreign banks, bilateral chambers of commerce and companies in every sector conducting business abroad” She Said.
Imo Day USA hold on September 28th, 2013 and the likes of Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Imo lawmakers  at both state and federal levels are expected to be there
 Others are top political office holders and business men from Imo State and her neighbours as well as artistes and scholars.
