The Abuja chapter of Madonna University Alumni Association (MUAA) on Saturday, November 30, 2013 will hold an event it tagged Alumni Sports Connect.
The event which is aimed at bringing members of the association together for a day will be taking place at Soho24 Sports Park in Kado, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
According to the chapter president Mr Henryval Osemeke, the event will go beyond the sports in it to build bonds amongst members of the association.
“The association is all about bringing graduates of Madonna University together, to see how we can form a force that will change the country.
We have started individually and as an association; we have made achievements so far and as we move on, people will feel our presence in Nigeria and beyond” He said.
The event which will feature football, volley ball, music and barbecue will have MUAA FCT play against friends of the alumni in a football match.
He also added that there will be free breast cancer screening as well as other special treats.
“We brought in free breast cancer screening because it has become a threat not just in Nigeria, but globally. At times ladies don’t go for this screening, so we want to bring it to them while they are enjoying themselves.
It’s one way we want to play our part in the fight against breast cancer” He added.
