A Youth body, Imo New Generation Forum (IMNGF) based in Owerri, Imo State has condemned the appointment of Miss Adokiye Kyrian Vyone as Youth Ambassador of the State by Governor Rochas Okorocha.
In a release signed by the President of the forum, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka and the secretary, Hon. Eze Diukebuaso, they maintained that such sensitive position should be given to a youth of high reputation, discipline and overwhelming integrity.
The person’s character must be outstanding and should reflect the true image of Imo youths, they said.
The youths further stated that Miss Adokiye is a nude entertainer from Rivers State, and therefore, not fit to represent Imo youths in such capacity.
They noted that Imo State has 305 political wards and wondered why the Governor cannot appoint a youth from these wards, and an ambassador for the state.
