Artistes, Acharaman, LMG and 2Blac gave Valencia Lounge’s Disk Jockey, DJ Cruz a Christmas gift of shunning the latter’s   ‘Gaga Mask Party’ which the trio was billed to perform at.
The event which took place on the night of Christmas at Valencia Lounge and Resort in Owerri, Imo State, was confirmed to have been put together by DJ against rumours that the Lounge which plays host to the popular Deejay Saquo’s Star Nite had 100% stake on the event.

We gathered that DJ Cruz only used the place as venue, while he owns the event which had little controversy stirred up in it when Acharaman, LMG and 2Blac tried to find out how much they would be paid before going on stage.
The trio said DJ Cruz refused to mention a figure, only saying that he would appreciate them after their performances.
After pressing Cruz to speak, they got a bomb shell when he told them to forget the performance if they don’t want to work with his terms.
“His last words to us was ‘if you want to perform, perform; if you don’t want, leave’ and you can imagine all the stress of coming down from my village where I was spending the Christmas” LMG said.
LMG who spoke on behalf of the trio said there was no prior agreement with Cruz before they arrived the venue; only the fact that Cruz said he will see to their welfare before they go on stage.
“He said I should come that they will give us a package before we go on stage, I insisted on knowing my figures but he stood his ground that we should come first” LMG Added.
Another artiste who performed at the event confirmed the departure of Acharaman, LMG and 2Blac , saying it was after they must have received a fair treat at the VIP section of the lounge. Although he refused to say if he was paid after his performance, the artiste who preferred to have his identity hidden flayed the poor arrangement at the event which was the main reason why the faceoff with Acharaman, LMG and 2Blac came up.
Another artiste on the list, KozyG said he declined to attend the event because he was only contacted on Christmas day, the same day the event was going to hold.
“I was surprised because the jingle of that event had been on the radio for days. When I was contacted, I told them there was no way I could perform because I need to put my dancers in shape before gracing any stage”
Aifee, Aizbag, Zona, Redloaf, D7, Rydas and XBusta were among the artistes that finally performed at the event and they as well as other guests confirmed that the event was concluded without hitches.
The faceoff is not a surprise if the trio of Acharaman, LMG and 2Blac are involved in it because they have been front-liners in the fight for artistes’ appreciation Imo State.
Dj Cruz’s contact line was still not reachable as at press time.
