Imo State Police Command Tuesday paraded 14 suspects among whom are two students said to have shot and killed a United States-based promoter, Noel Tochukwu Unegbu.
Unegbu was killed on February 4, 2014 at Rapour Hotel in Amakohia in Owerri North Local Government Area of the state.
The alleged killers who are students of Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education (AIFCE), Owerri are Eze Charles Nnamdi and Maduabuchi Augustine, who are 22 and 20 years old respectively.
Nnamdi, a 400 level student of the college hails from Abakaliki, Ebonyi State while Maduabuchi, a 300 level is a native of Ekwulobia in Anambra State.
The new Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali told newsmen that two locally-made shot single barrel guns, two live cartridges, two axes and the sum of N1,400 were recovered from the 22-year-old suspect.
The CP was silent on what could have informed the killing of the United State-based promoter.
The police equally paraded one Udodiri Chikezie accused of armed robbery, two alleged car snatchers namely John Duru and Chinedu Vernatius both natives of Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.
Other also paraded include Kingsley Uzochukwu, Hillary Mezie, Chibuzo Uzoma, Amawuihe Obi, Izuchukwu Ezetamedi, Onuegbu Emmanuel Onyebuashi, Mark Okoro, Ikenna Amunze and Nnadi Kingsley.
Ali disclosed that these suspects were arrested for various crimes ranging from armed robbery to kidnapping.
He said the suspects would be charged to court after conclusion of investigations. Journalist were not allowed to take pictures of the suspects.
