News around the state has it that Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has tagged artistes in the state as ‘Never do wells’.
A statement credited to Hon. Uche Ogbuagu has it that the governor always advised him (Hon. Ogbuagu) to forget any dealing with Imo artistes because they are ‘Never do wells’.

The question is thus, did the governor really make that statement? Did he in his right senses refer to his brothers and sisters who have been pursuing their dreams in the entertainment world as ‘Never do wells’?
Is this one of the statements by the former Chief Comedian who has recently turned his back on his former boss recently saying that the governor has no regard for Imo artistes?
Every entertainer in the state will surely find a good reason to believe that the governor made the statement even when there is no proof to that.
Since he took over the administration of the state, His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha has been silent on the side of entertainment prompting entertainers in the state to wonder if the governor who is popularly referred to as the people’s governor, has written them off as Imolites.
Entertainers in the state demand an official statement from the governor or his aides with regards to this statement as well as swift action in addressing the issues so neglected for years in his administration, lest he lose the thousands of votes that will be coming from the entertainers come 2015.
