Entertainers based in Imo State will join their Rivers and Enugu State counterparts to hold a rally for the Kidnapped Wazobia FM Port Harcourt presenter Akas Baba.
Akatakpo Anthony [Akas Baba] who is also a comedian according to reports, was shot and kidnapped in his resident on Thursday March 13, 2014 and so far the kidnappers are demanding 10 Million Naira ransom for his release.
A statement by the management of Steam & Globe Broadcasting and Communications Limited, owners of Cool FM, Wazobia FM and Nigeria Info condemned the kidnap of their staff who was beaten and shot in the leg by the kidnappers in the presence of his children and wife, despite cooperating with his attackers.
Entertainers in Imo State are joining forces with his friends and family members around the globe in a rally and prayer calling for the immediate release of their colleague whose kidnap has left his family in a trauma.
The rally take-off point is Valencia Lounge and Resort, World Bank Housing Estate Owerri, Imo State on Thursday March, 20, 2014 by 8:00am.
Entertainers around the state and hereby called to join in the rally to make it a success.
