It will be a festival of music, dance and comedy on Friday, April 25, 2014 as Deejay Saquo Star Nite marks its 14th edition with both homegrown and national stars.
2Shotz, Churchman and Sortitude are the guest artistes for the edition while Redloaf, H2O, Reflex, Floxy, Asopat, Nice Boi, and XP Joe will be hoisting the flag of homegrown artistes to be celebrated at the event.
The last artistes to grace the Star Nite stage were Floxy and H20 at the 10th edition in December, 2013, while XP Joe who missed out on last two editions returns to stage.
With Reflex and Redloaf returning to stage after a long time, the duo will be bringing in sure rap quality to the event and should their presence inspire the performance of ‘Street Worship’, a track by ace producer Kasablanka where both artistes were featured, it would be so much fun.
With Floxy hoping to perform her new single as well the blending chorography that follows; H20 might go off the their dancehall hook to perform the acoustic version of Davido’s Aye while XP Joe will retain his RnB flows.
Asopat and Nice Boi can never be written off, because it will surely be dance dance all the way from both artistes.
The quality of rapper, 2Shotz has never faded in fairytales and it is obvious in the reason that made him the star artistes for the night.
Churchman and Sortitude will come in with their flavours to spice up the Friday night for the people of Owerri.
Dancers for the night are Mimi and Lady P while MC Yellow Mouth alongside Shedrak and Meshak will be staring as comedians.
Djs Johnny and Reason will be the Wheels of Steel at the event kicking off by 7:30 with Red Carpet, while performances start by 9:00 pm.
Deejay Saquo Star Nite is a monthly music, dance and comedy event, taking place every last Friday of the month at Valencia Lounge and Resort, Owerri Imo State. There is no gate fee.
