A young business mogul, Chief Lawson Chukwu has declared that come 2015, a youth will be occupying the seat of Isiala Mbano Local Government Area in Imo State House of Assembly.
Chief Chukwu who declared to run for the seat under All Progressives Congress (APC), said it is time for youths to run the affairs of the local government in all levels.
He decried the negligence on youths and women stating that he is ready to make a change in that area.
In his words, “Our women, children and youths have been forgotten; they have been turned to partakers of emergency empowerment programmes, events they only get to see because 2015 is around the corner.
It is time to say no these unfair acts and also a time for the youths to take the bull by the horn and decide their destinies”
He also said that unlike others who pay allegiance to political godfathers, his allegiance will only be to the people of the local government whom he will be representing come 2015 and no one will be diverting the dividends of democracy meant for the people in any way.
Chief Lawson Chukwu however called on youths, women and the entire people of Isiala Mbano to support the change that has come in the state through the Rescue Mission Agenda of His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha also calling for their support come 2015.
“Women and youths have the greatest population everywhere and they can win any election if they are together. 2015 will be different in Isiala Mbano because youths especially are working round the clock to claim the mandates and I believe we can do it if we stick together” He added
