To keep faith with the on-going arrest of failed contractors in the State by the state government, the Imo Morality Group (IMG) has demanded the immediate arrest of the governor’s younger brother Chidi Okorocha, the owner of the CNN NICKLOLERU Construction Limited for absconding with over N162 million contract sum for the building of International Maritime University at Osse-moto, Oguta without putting a structure in place.

Addressing newsmen recently, the National coordinator of Imo Morality Group (IMG) Comrade Chukwuemeka Anuforo commended  the governor’s courage in arresting failed contractors  which he said would bring sanity in road contract in the state but maintained that governor should as a matter of urgency arrest his younger  brother Chidi Okorocha who was paid 10% of N1.62 billion of the total contract sum but  failed to deliver on the contract.
Comrade Anuforo  who said the group strongly believes in good morals and justice noted that the governor’s brother should either refund the sum collected or face arrest like other contractors called on the governor to dispense justice without fear or favour.
‘The governor should not be reminded to arrest  his younger brother for failing to execute the contract after receiving N162 million when many contractors are languishing in police net for failing only to comply to contract specifications. You are father of all and should treat all equal’, he added.
The group insisted that every Imolite is equal and called on the state governor to release the arrested contractors if he cannot order for the arrest the relatives that are also involved in the failed contract.
The governor was finally warned against repeating the same mistake of hoisting white elephant projects on the internet which caused the former governor re-election bid as he was asked to ensure the work is carried out on proposed Maritime as planned.
