Those who thought that Imo State University, IMSU Owerri, would be repositioned and salvaged with the appointment of Ex-ASUU National Chairman Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie, have every reason to feel disappointed and frustrated. This is because it is only when an obscure character like Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie assumes maximum power that his true life, nature and character manifest, glaringly since he accepted appointment as acting IMSU Vice-Chancellor in total negation to the very law he enacted as ASUU National Chairman that university lecturer who accepts to be used with ignominy to destroy the university system, must be sanctioned, Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie who sought to destroy the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in conjunction with Okokpa Mbaise, Prof. Mark Ordu, mediocrity has continually triumphed for and above meritocracy in Imo State University (IMSU).
He has in the first place accepted to be used by Owelle Rochas Okorocha to destroy the education system which allows only a paltry 30% fresh admission for JAMB candidates of Imo State origin.
Even when Governor Rochas Okorocha in his big bill boards at the entrance gate to IMSU, claims fuition free, Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie recently described Okorocha as the commander of free education even when as an intellectual he knows that education in Imo State is not by any means free. Students and pupils in models schools, urban development school in Owerri carry their own desks to school in Owerri urban. Apart from students of the Demonstration Owerri City College, no other school pupils or students benefitted from the federal government free text and exercise books or furnitures.
To the disappointment of all discerning Imo citizens, Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie recently appointed Rev. Fr. Prof. Jerome Okonkwo Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) Administration. The so called Rev, Fr. Jerome Okonkwo from Ideato home town of Owelle Rochas Okorocha was as Ream, Faculty of Humanities found guilty instituting the collection and extortion of N2000 levies from new students of IMSU. As Director of Admissions he charged each new student N2000 for file jackets that cost only N50.00 and another N2000 as admission processing fees. Prof. Rev. Fr. Jerome Okonkwo never stopped at that. He gave out to students, parallel admission letters at negotiated fees, to that of JAMB. Yet, this is the type of Rev. Frs. That adherently of Catholic Church kneels before to receive Holy Communion for which the Christendom is facing its greatest challenges is our country today. According to the visitation panel, Rev. Fr. Prof. Okonkwo’s tenure as Dean of Humanities was characterized by acrimony and strife with him fanning the embers of discord, for which the panel found him guilty of such criminality and recommended that he banned from holding any sensitive position at IMSU.
Imo State government white paper accepted this recommendation which a roguish encyclopiene as Rev. Fr. Prof. Jerome Okonkwo never challenged.

No wonder students of Imo State University can hardly fit into anything but political appointees, cultists and homosexuals.
As if that was not enough, our limping giant IMSU V.C. who is more political than the first republic politicians, recently organized a special in-house convocation for his greatest benefactor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha. During the occasion, he asserted that the university council and senate unanimously and willing agreed to confer on Okorocha a degree of Doctor of Law, (LLD).
In a citation he read, Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie who was recently stripped of his IPP in ASUU claim that as a witness, the heavens stood still while the earth responded with an inexplicable jubilation at the birth of Rochas Okorocha who he described as a unique and uncommon being.
For Okorocha who most of us at Community Watch Dog Newspaper participated in his 48 birthday in 2009, Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie says he is just turning 47. Here lies Awuzie gross impunity.
While Okorocha’s claim of a university degree is questionable, Prof. Nicholas Ukachukwu Awuzie, a lands cape architecture can firmed that the once known as Ethelbert Anayochukwu Okorocha indeed obtained LLB, LLM after several Advanced Diploma in Law, Public Administration, Conflict and Security Management from Unijos between 1993 and 1999, when as at 1999 when his political opponents caused his rustication for obtaining admission with fake results, he had no other academic record at Unijos.

Meanwhile he has concluded plans to be re-instate Aniche, the certificate racketeering merchant as substantive Registrar of IMSU.
