Youth Media Network inaugurates exco in Imo

An association youths in the media sector, Youth Media Network has inaugurated the excos of its first chapter in Imo State on May 2, 2014.
The event which took place at the conference room of Imo Concorde Hotel, Owerri had youths from the electronic, print, visual and online media.

With Hon. Emma Duru, emerging as the president, he said that the association will champion the affairs of the youths as Nigeria approaches 2015.
“So many aspirants are out there, our interest will be to ask them what plans they have for the youths; also access what others in power have done for the youths and see that they do more to better the lives of Nigerian youths”
Other members of the executive are, OB Fado, a presenter with Hot 99.5 FM Owerri, Vice President; Ihuoma Osondu, reporter with Nigeria Newspoint Newspaper, Secretary; Anita Agu, Treasurer; Comr Hamilton Onuchukwu, Editor and Barr. Ifeanyi Njoku, Legal Adviser.
Others in the executive are Zanders 107.5 FM Owerri trio of Jegz B, Princessa and MC Ominimin; Chinedu Hardy Nwadike of O’town Gist Entertainment amongst others.
The association is gearing up for an official launch latter in May 2014 and is hoping to set up chapters in other states of the country after.
