The son of the late retired Supreme Court Judge, Mr. Charles Oputa, has said that he shares a lot of qualities with his father, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa Rtd but that he has also achieved greatness like his late father in his own calling.
Mr. Oputa said this when a group paid him a condolence visit at his home town in Oguta.
Popularly known as Charley Boy, Mr. Oputa who is also an Ogbuagu title holder in Oguta described his late father as a highly principled man who liked using dialogue to solve problems. He said that he was satisfied with the life of his father whom he described as a great icon.
“I am exactly like my father in everything. He was a principled man, I am a principled man also. I am an honest and upright man and my father was too. My father was a great man and I am one also. But if the shoe size of my father was nine my own is twelve. However, the only areas we differed were in profession, dressing and ways of solving problems …”
The fact that greatness is according to individual belief might make one believe his declaration, but everyone is still entitled to his opinion.
