Chinedu Hardy Nwadike who is the interim president of the association called on artistes in the state who have not joined the association to come on board to move the music industry of the state forward.
“We have wonderful artistes in Imo State, but one thing we need to have is unity and one direction. Everyone is moving in different directions and if you look very well you’ll see that while some are building, others are destroying.
Unity is the only we are yet to achieve, it is one thing that will make us support each other and so far ICMA has proven that it can provide such platforms, kudos to every member.
We also call on artistes in Owerri, Okigwe and Orlu to join this movement of emancipation which will surely inspire the future of our industry to greatness”
So far, members have started picking forms for various offices and Hardy believes that the election will be a huge success if everyone will come in and believe in the association.
“The election will shape ICMA because for the first time, real executives will be taking charge of the association and it is something everyone must be a part of”
ICMA presently meets on Thursdays at City Chef Restaurant, behind Rock View Hotel Owerri by 4:00pm and any artiste who wishes to be part of it is welcomed.
