Music producer cum sound engineer, Okechukwu Danladi Omire aka Sarge Mix in an interview recently said that the Alaba Music market is killing Nigerian music industry.
According to him, the industry is too large to be controlled by one market that is just located in one state.
Sarge said that the market which has monopolized the marketing of music in the industry also has the sole power to decide what type of music Nigerian will be listening to and anything they call bad remains bad.
He went on to say that if he has the power, he will abolish the market and make things fair around the country stating that it is the only way the entire nation will reap the dividends of the vast talents in the country’s music industry.
