Before now, little is known about Nkwerre, Imo State born rapper, Orji Arinze aka Leeroy until he released his underground hit track ‘Lust’ featuring Icz Money. Because that track was not well promoted on the internet, people only listened to it via DJs, radio stations and street mixtapes.

Although, crowds have been thrilled in his many stage performances, Leeroy still remained a name almost unknown to many even though he had the song so many must be wishing to have.
With the track ‘Lust’ keeping afloat for years, Leeroy also made another move when many rappers were doing the cover for Endia’s 48. He did his own like others, yet it never earned him that spot he was actually looking for amongst rappers in Imo State at least.
With his unique voice and ability to rhyme on stories, Leeroy never relented because his dream aside being educated is to be one of the best rappers Nigeria will ever know and he took his time, putting words to paper until the day he said it was studio time.
The product is a masterpiece; a track titled ‘Obodo Oyibo’ where he resurrected a forgotten style of rap that made the likes of 2Shots who they are.
With his story telling rap style, Leeroy is stepping up his game and even fellow rappers are appreciating what he is doing because aside the street rap that has taken over the hearts of every rapper in the country, there used to be time when lovers of rap music enjoyed good stories in the verses of every track.
2Pac, Eminem and others were known for it, and young Leeroy believes he can go a long way if he keeps to that style with good stories that will not only thrill people but educate and impact positively in the society.
Though young, but very ambitious, Leeroy is on his way to the top through a ladder with a cluster of rapper climbing on it.
He wants to leave stories in the mind of people. He wants to leave words of wisdom and statements that will go a long way in shaping the society.
Can he make it to the top or will he deviate to rap like every other rapper in the country.
Can Leeroy find his feet among rappers in Nigeria?
