Nollywood actor Desmond Eliot on Sunday, November 30, 2014 received an award as the Most Active Actor on Social Media in Nigeria.
The event which took place at Grezilla Hotels, Orogwe, Onitsha Road, Owerri, Imo State, was tagged Nigerian Social Media Awards.
Desmond Eliot alongside other notable Nigerian entertainers, politicians and business men were honoured at the event in which the actor was represented by Mr. Benedict Oguzie.
According Mr. Oguzie, Desmond Eliot’s contributions towards the growth Nollywood can never be overlooked.
He referred to Desmond Eliot as a bundle of talent who has always gone beyond what he is known for to achieve more.
“He has acted, produced and directed. Many have toed this part but Desmond Eliot has been outstanding and his relationship with people especially on the social media is the reason for this well-deserved award”
Desmond Eliot who is among entertainment who decided to pitch their tents in politics is vying of the a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly under All Progressives Congress [APC] and he has been tipped as the favourite for the ticked under Surulere Constituency 1 as APC is gearing towards their primaries come December 2, 2014.
