It might not be one of the best ways to start a year, but music producer Yung Roc chooses to start his by crying out to the public that a certain On-Air Personality, in Imo State, has been criticizing his jobs.
Yung Roc who expressed his displeasure via his Facebook account said he would not understand why someone would choose to cause damages on others for no reasons and even though he didn’t mention the name of the OAP in the said post, www.otowngist.com can authoritatively say that OAP whom we tagged ‘unknown OAP’ last report is Hot 99.5 FM’s OB Fado.
Speaking to Yung Roc, he revealed that after his post and the previous publication on www.otowngist.com and some newspapers on this subject, more than twenty artistes called them to complain of the same thing.
He said that he rebuked the artistes and urged them to always be outspoken as it is the only way most people who indulge in the silly act of image massacre can repent from it.
“We need to start speaking out because this has to stop. I have received several calls on this and even his friends are also complaining of the same thing.
I don’t care who he is or how he does it but he just has to stop it because it will neither do him nor the industry any good” Yung Roc said.
In one of his facebook posts Yung Roc wrote “Dear OAP, if you think I would come and bow at your feet before I get recognized on your radio channel, I must tell you this, only the short men climb Sycamore tree to get noticed. Recognition comes from God and not you”
This revelations is coming up days after an open letter to Imo State based OAPs surfaced and was published on www.otowngist.com and some newspapers in the state.
The letter which was authored by Chukwuemeka Austin Ekwe [aka Sque-Sque] talked and asked OAPs looking down on artistes and producers to stop after which it called for everyone to swallow their pride and join hands for the good of the industry in Imo State.
Should further confirmations be received on this that a renowned OAP like OB Fado was indulging in this, it would be a big shame for the Oguta born presenter cum singer.
Responding through a text message on why he was indulging on such act, OB Fado said “As you can see, I don’t know him, but if he has anything against me, he should man up and give me a call. I am open o dialogue but he must have his facts cos I don’t do hearsay”
Following that response, it would still be surprising than an OAP like OB Fado who has spent years in Owerri does not know Yung Roc, when it obvious he has been playing songs with his signature.
