Emerging singer Justine Chukwudi Okereke [aka Chukky Boy] will be making his debut into the music industry on Monday, February 16, 2015 with a single titled ‘Shaba’.
According to the Arochukwu, Abia State born singer, the single is coming when he is sure he can shoulder every responsibility emerging from being a fulltime musician in a country like Nigeria.
Chukky Boy said that he has been waiting for the moment to come and is already relishing the excitement it would bring when it finally comes.
“Sometimes as a new artiste, you don’t just believe you are good enough, because you have seen how the big stars are revered in the country. When I see upcoming artistes being humiliated because of the level they are, I just feel like giving up, but there is always something in me that tells me to push on and that is just what I will be doing with this single.
“A lot of people could have discouraged me with their words and some ugly experiences I have witnessed could have also made me to blackout, but I feel like I was created for what I am doing now and I will do everything possible to live this dream” He said.
While speaking to us, Chukky Boy also revealed that the new single will be have one of the best singers in Imo State, KozyG on it, adding that having the Ebonyi State born singer on the song was a big boast for him.
“Some people just have music in them and you will always be grateful when you see what they bring into a song. He is a singer I respect so much and I am so grateful to be working with him on my debut track.
I also strongly believe that our joint efforts on the song, will shoot me to a brand new level when it is finally released” He added.
The single ‘Shaba’ which will be released on the internet on Monday, February 16, 2015 was produced by Somik.
