Help may have finally come the way of the jaw cancer patient, Mr. Eze Okafor who has appealed to the public for a sum of N400,000 to help him save his life as one of the aspirants to the Orlu Senatorial seat in the 2015 election and a popular philanthropist, Chief Felix Idiga (JAFAC) has through his JAFAC FOUNDATION BLAZED THE TRAIL last weekend with a donation of N100, 000 to the “save Eze Okafor appeal fund”.
Chief Idiga who made the donation at Orlu after a recent outing he had with Imo State Newspaper Publishers Association had declared that he would not wait until he wins an election or becomes a senator before carrying out the responsibility thrust on him by God. “God has blessed me to help others”, he said.
The candidate who was reacting to the appeal by one of the publishers stated that it was for people of this status that the JAFAC foundation was established about a decade ago stating that if he is elected senator he would extend his arms of assistance to those who need help in Orlu zone and beyond.
Following the donation by the politician, two young publishers in the state capital namely Apostle Lambert Ojukwu of the Newspoint Newspapers and Elder Gele Agbai of the Newsbreak Newspapers have complementarily made cash donations to the appeal fund and promised to join in the campaign to save the life of the patient whose condition is growing worse each day.
