The executive governor of Imo State, His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha has called on clergies in the state to desist from partisan politics lest people forget their positions in the house of God and treat them like a politicians.
Governor Okorocha made the call during the Sunday service of the 31st synod of Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Owerri on Sunday March 22, 2015 at Wesley Methodist Church Ikenegbu, Owerri, Imo State.

He called on priests to maintain their place in the House of God and pray that the best happens in Imo State after the election rather than go about inciting their members against candidates.
He described his regime as a God-sent, adding that anyone who does not accept him will never accept any other government in the State.
Gov. Okorocha went on to challenge Imolites to appreciate what they have because there is nothing better than it at the moment, likening those who criticize his policies, especially the free education as people with eyes that cannot see.
