The Sector Commander, FRSC, Imo State Command, Dr. Godwin O. Imoko has charged Keke Operators to obtain their driving licence and avoid over loading and over speeding or plying the tricycle on the highway.
Speakign when the executives of Association of Motorcycles and Tricycles Transport (AMTT), Owerri paid him a courtesy visit, he stated that anybody driving a vehicle/keke on the road must have his driving licence because the FRSC job is to ensure the safety of passengers on the road, stressing that the vehicle/keke must be appropriately registered also. He remarked that FRSC is also fighting the menace of overloading and advised them to avoid overloading and over speeding because by doing so, they cause road accidents.

“Let us obey the necessary traffic rules to avoid road accidents”, he averred.
He described AMTT as a group of respectful and peace loving people reiterating that “whatever is within my powers to do for your group, I will not hesitate to do so”, you are dedicated in your business and I pray God to bless you people”.
Earlier, the AMTT President, Comr. Chris Egwuasi said his leadership deemed it necessary to identify with the FRSC boss because AMTT partners with FRSC. He appealed to the FRSC boss to see that his men on the road use human face when asking their members to pay for anything officially.
He said they appreciate the effort of FRSC in assisting them and assured that they will not work against FRSC personnel on the road. Comr. Egwuasi promised that they will continue to be law abiding and peaceful in the discharge of their civil duty.
In his vote of thanks, the Sector Head of Operations, Commander Anabo onbehalf of the Sector Commander, officers and men of FRSC, Imo State Command, thanked AMTT very much for their visit. “We appreciate you for coming because AMTT cannot do without FRSC and FRSC cannot do without AMTT. We also thank you and appreciate your good gesture to us”, he remarked.
Other AMTT EXCOS who accompanied Comr. Egwuasi on the visit are, Comr. Godspower Dimkpa (Vice President), Comr. Dennis Nwachukwu (Secretary) among many other members.
