It is no longer news that the 2015 edition of Mr. and Miss. Imo State Nigeria kept guests and participants at the venue for more than 15 hours at Aladinma Mall Owerri, where it took place.
Our reporter who was at the event said the event which was supposed to kick off by 5:00pm on Saturday April 25, 2015 with Red Carpet as was written on the invitation cards and even brochure had to start by 1:15am the next morning when it was expected the event should be ending.

The delayed kickoff created an uncontrollable atmosphere which led to the organizers missing some of the gate fees they would have collected and subsequently, the much advertised red carpet was not held.
A VIP ticket holder who ended up sitting at the place he found space cried out on the poor organization of the event adding that if he had known that people would be entering without tickets, he would not have spent the amount of money he spent on the ticket.
The event which was packaged by Chris Events and Modeling Company saw another hitch at about 5:46am when the generator at the venue went off when the top 16 male models were being paraded on stage and they had to make do with all sorts of light available to crown their queens at about 7:00am in the morning when most of the guest had gone home.
the 2015 edition which was tagged Divas and Divos edition according to another guest who was also an event manager had lots of contestants and the guest argued that they should have reduced the number of contestants on the grand finale knowing that time would never be on their side.
Aside the hitches, 8 female crowns and 6 male crowns which were up for grabs at the event were still given out to winners.
When Chris Ikoku Amakor the CEO of Chris Events and Modeling Company via a phone call, he could not deny the incident and yet was unable to say anything in his defense.
Ikoku said “I don’t have anything to say, since you have the story, go on with it”
