This was the situation or something closely akin to it at Imo State University on Monday the 27th, two days after the declaration of Governor Rochas Okorocha as the winner of Imo Guber election by the Returning Officer of Imo State.
When Campus Voice stormed the campus around 10 AM, it was visibly clear that students have still not got tired of basking in the euphoria of the moment. Students were seen at clusters analyzing political issues in the state, even ladies were not left out of the rave of the moment.
Students were busy congratulating one another and shouting “my people, my people” with the response “our free education, our free education” which has been on parade since the reign of Owelle Rochas. It will be recalled that Rochas Okorocha driving point in governance has been his free education “gift” to Imo Students.
Speaking to Campus Voice, a student of Mass Communication in school by name Samuel told us that he is in 300 level and was praying seriously for the victory of Owelle Rochas so as to enable him complete his tertiary education on a Plata of free.
Many others also voiced how happy they were at the victory of Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha.
