In a recent publication on some blogs, Whispers Magazine, the organizers of the Fashion Meets Music Event were referred to as being fraudulent in their recent quest to organize an entertainment award in Imo State.
So far, the article which is titled ‘SCAM ALERT!!! THE WHISPER’S MAGAZINE AWARD IS A SCAM’ was only published by two blogs www.enjoy9ja.com who published the article on August 26, 2015 and www.starzhit.com who published he same article verbatim on the following day being  August 27, 2015.

According to a member of the Whispers Magazine crew, Chyna John Okezie, the accusation that the online voting procedure is fraudulent is a baseless one and the perpetrators did so badly in choosing a fake name for the author of the article.
“Choosing MR DANNIEL MBAKWE, was the last error in the article because no one can ever remember knowing anyone with that name in Imo State and going by the content of the article and their points, they only talked like people who want to be clearing the cookies of their mobile browsers to vote one thousand times in a day.
We have a wonderful team of web designers and I believe in what they have done for the site to read the IP on every device that has voted. It is a one-device-one-vote system and anyone who has plans to cheat should just forget it because we are honest people” he said.
Further investigation on the source of the article revealed something strategic about it. The article which made a case on why rapper Xbusta should be trailing behind Boybreed also inserted the link to the ‘Next Rated Artiste’ category which has XBusta, BoyBreed, F2, Phizbarz and Kelv Cole. With the article gathering sentiment for Xbusta, it is an obvious reason why the rapper is now winning in the category even when the article called for people to ignore the award.

We also gathered that the article is serving a dual purpose of tarnishing the image of Whispers Magazine and also inciting sentiment which will bring more votes to a certain nominee.
Even when the blogs that published the article refused to say who Mr Danniel Mbakwe really was, there are more clues pointing to one of the bloggers who has interest in one of the nominees in the Next Rated Artiste category, if not, why was their alleged investigation limited to the experiences in one category, what happened to other categories?
“I don’t see the reason why F2 will have such few votes and I don’t know why they denied fans from voting, fans all over [the world] have been complaining and I don’t see why phiz bars will have only but a very view votes and we have also contacted Xbusta and he told us that his numerous fans have been unable to vote….1 word for the organisers…FRAUDSTERS” the last part of the article reads.
In response to this finding, Chyna John Okezie responded by saying, “We don’t want to make any case against any nominee in the award, we just want to concentrate on achieving what we want to achieve which is giving the industry in this area a new meaning.
They also said that we are looking for traffic to make money but were not able to see that there is no advert on any part of the website. The person behind the mask of Mr. Danniel Mbakwe was blind enough to note that people don’t make money from visitors without advert policies.
The claims are baseless and if they are meant to get more votes for a nominee, it is surely a shameful act on the side of the writer and the bloggers who posted the article”
Chyna also added that they don’t want to join issues with anyone, but any more attempt by anyone to tarnish their image will never be spared.
“We will stop at nothing to protect our image, because we took time to build it,but for the sake of peace and growth in Imo State, we will be stopping here, but any more attempt to run us down will never be taken lightly and we promise to move like hurricane and it would never matter to us whom it would be affecting when we make that move” he concluded.
As planned, Fashion Meets Music which is seeing its second edition will be featuring 30 Models, 10 Designers, 20 artistes on one state and the event will be taking place on Saturday September 5, 2015 at The Mall Alidinma Owerri, Imo State by 3:00 PM.
Chyna urged their fans to keep fate with them and go on with their plans of attending the event.
