Come Saturday, September 5, 2015 Fashion Meets Music will be marking its third edition having been unveiled a year ago with great success.
According to Mr. Chyna John Okezie who spoke for Whispers Magazine, the outfit that is organizing the event, it will be rocked by the best designers and models in South-East Nigeria especially alongside artistes and comedians who will also be gracing the stage.
Mr. Chyna said that the aim of the event is to cover the major angles entertainment which mostly revolve around fashion, music and comedy. He added that they intend making a great mark with the event through the promotion of local designers and also showing the world what Imo State especially can offer the fashion world especially.
“The vision is very clear and we are looking forward to promoting local contents especially. We have awesome designers based in this part of the world and I think it will be a thing of pride to have their works worn on the runway.
We want to show Nigeria and the world that we are not just empty of talents. We are also looking forward to using events like this to exhibit what we have to world; who knows who will be watching; we might have investors coming the next day and things will change for all of us” he said.
Sammy Elle Couture, Exodus Designs, Eliez Couture, Thump’s-up Collection, Boomy Senegalese amongst others are designers expected at the event and the organizers have promised that it will be something the city of Owerri has never witnessed before.
“It’s going to be special and classy because we have top models like Bella, Amaka, Diva, Florence amongst others to walk the runway.
Even as one of the organizers, I can’t wait to see them on those awesome outfits. I can’t wait to see the usual cheering crowd and the lights. It’s already painting a wonderful picture in my mind” Chyna added in excitement.
Music will be provided by ILL THOTZ, MR. LUKE NATHANS, XBUSTA, with FLOXY being the only lady in the fold.
The other side of the event is the maiden edition of the Whispers Magazine Awards which has more than ten categories with the likes of Mc. Yellow Mouth, www.otowngist.com, www.alaowerri.com, Yung Roc, Adaora Stephanie, Juliet Achebe, Eleoba Chidinma nominated in their various categories.
Other nominees for the online poll are Zanders Fm, Hot Fm, Orient Fm, Ice Candy, Mc Yellomouth, Mc Iche, You International Magazine, Emmanuel Somto and others.
The event which will be anchored by P-ICE will be taking place at The Mall Alidinma Owerri, Imo State by 3:00 PM. on Saturday September 5, 2015.
The gate fee is N1000 for regular and N5000 for VIPs.
