The management of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State has imposed a 7:00pm curfew on students of the institution following a cult war which has claimed three lives. The notice which took effect on October 14, 2015, urged students to cease all movement from 7:00pm because of the security challenges the campus is facing.

“Following some security challenges around the Polytechnic community, I write to direct that all movements after 7:00pm should be restricted.

In effect, anyone found wandering within the campus would be required to properly identify himself/herself and state his/her mission. All those who have finished their examinations and have no other business on campus are advised to go home to their families”, the memo signed by the Registra Mr. I. M. Aligbe reads.
