Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha yesterday paid a condolence visit to the family of late Audu Abubakar in his home town, Ogbonicha in Ofu local government area of Kogi State.

Governor Okorocha who by proxy represented by his Deputy PrinceĀ  Eze Madumere among others like the Secretary General of Federation, Babachir David Lawal and other high profile government personnel.

Speaking to the newsmen, Madumere described Prince Audu Abubakar ‘ s sudden passing as shocking.

He said his principal Owelle Rochas Okorocha could not believe it even after the media had confirmed the death.

He regretted that his death came even at a time his people needed him most to lead them at this down moment in the life of the State and the nation, the call which the people of Kogi expressed at the last guber poll.

Speaking further he said despite all odds, Prince Abubakar contributed his quota as his legacies are being sung by his people.

His submission in his words, ” On behalf of my Governor, the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha and the good people of Imo State, I heartilyĀ  condole with the family and people of Kogi State over the death of our brother, partner in progress and a leader. We pray to Almighty God for the repose of his soul.
