On the pet project titled ‘Care of the Menstruation flow of the girl-child and early pregnancy’, the beauty queen said it was never easy to come up with the project owing to its high level of sensitivity in today’s Nigerian/African society.

She recounted her childhood when she found it difficult to interact with her mother on some personal issues but now believes young girls should do otherwise by having someone they can trust and talk to.

“I found it very difficult to interact with my mum. I felt she is someone who is not supposed to know when I am right or wrong. I wasn’t just open.

“I feel this is the medium for me to tell them [young girls] that they can be very free with someone at least. Some of them make mistakes because they are not free with people around them. This project will stop those mistakes”

Queen Cynthia Osondu also declared that she is prepared to take on all oppositions she would be encountering in the course of the project with knowledge and determination.

She added that sex education is like a sacred topic, but she is ready to defile that ‘fear of the unknown’ which has been preventing people from venturing into it. She then called on well meaning Nigerians to join her as she works towards changing the fate of the girl-child at the event taking place at Ibari Ogwa Entertainment World, off Port Harcourt Road, Owerri, Imo State.

The event will be kicking off by 6:00pm with Red Carpet, while main event starts later by 7:00pm on Friday, November 13, 2015.

On her emergence as Miss Tourism Imo 2015, she said it is just the beginning of her work in Imo State and Nigeria as whole, adding that it is an opportunity for her to show what she has in stock for humanity.
